Setting the Base Station
Changing the flash time
Depending on whether you are operating
the telephone in a private branch
exchange, it may be necessary to set a
specific flash time.
Read the information in the
operating instructions for your
telephone system.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Set BS" menu.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Flash time" sub-menu.
Press the MENU key.
A list of the available flash times will
appear in the display. The active flash
time is now ticked.
Select the required flash time.
Press the MENU key.
Entering the dialling prefix
If you are operating the telephone in a
private branch exchange you have to
enter a dialling prefix before making
external calls.
Read the information in the
operating instructions for your
telephone system.
To save the dialling prefix, proceed as follows:
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Set BS" menu.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Dialling prefix" sub-menu.

Press the MENU key.
To delete a dialling prefix press the
CANCEL button.
Enter the dialling prefix using the
numeric keys.
Press the MENU key.
The dialling prefix is then stored.
Resetting the base station to the
factory setting
You can use this function to reset all the
adjustments made to the base station and
handsets and to restore the factory
settings.
The PIN number is not reset to the
factory setting.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Set BS" menu.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Reset" sub-menu.
Press the MENU key.
You will be asked to enter the PIN
number.
Enter the PIN using the numeric keys.
Press the MENU key.
The telephone will be reset to the factory
settings.
