IR Light Sensor Remote Control
Preparations for use
1) Caution, please note:
- Use AAA batteries only.
- The batteries must always be inserted
according to the correct polarity (+ and –
markings). If they are inserted incorrectly,
the batteries may leak, become too hot or
explode.
- Make sure that the camera and the "DCCS"
IR light sensor remote control are switched
off before connecting the shutter release to
the camera.
- Do not pull on the cable when the receiver is
connected to the camera.
Also, do not bend or crush the cable.
- As this is an electronic product, its operation
can be affected by certain factors in the
surroundings. Do not use the IR light sensor
remote control in areas where the use of
electronic devices is not permitted.
- Distance (sender to receiver) up to 5 m,
depending on lighting (for example the
darker the ambient light, the further the
distance).
- Do not expose the IR sensor remote shutter
release to strong shocks, moisture or
extreme heat (e.g. in closed cars).
- If you do not use the device for an extended
period, remove the batteries, so that any
leaking fluids cannot damage the product.

2) Inserting batteries:
Two AAA batteries each are required.
1)Slide open the battery cover. (Items 1+2)
2)Insert the batteries correctly.
3)Slide the battery cover closed.
3) Connecting "Base" IR light sensor to
camera using connecting cable:
See items 8, 9, 10.
4) Preparations:
- Always ensure that the camera battery is
fully charged.
- Deactivate the camera's auto focus and
battery-saving mode so that the camera
remains in ready mode.
- To place the camera in a protected location,
use the extension cable from Hama, item no.
00005215 (extendable in 5 meter steps)
- Place the receiver on a tripod using the ¼"
thread. Set the sender and the receiver to
the same channel (items 3a+3b).
- Position the sender directly opposite the
receiver (maximum 5 m)
- Activate the receiver by pressing the
connect button (item 5) for approximately
three seconds until the LED (item 6) lights up
red and then blinks. (only necessary if the
light sensor is used)
- Set the desired recording mode using the
slide bar (item 4).
- If you wish to use this product as a light
sensor, set to single-frame picture-taking
(item 4a). If you wish to use this product as
an infrared shutter release, you can select
the following picture-taking modes:
