If the silicon sealant ring is damaged, do not use the appliance
and contact our Customer Service department (see the
'WARRANTY' section).
Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any of the
parts.
Make sure that the parts are clean and dry before storing.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE HOUSING IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!
To clean the valves
Check that the steam release knob and the pressure safety valves
are in good working order before each use.
After the unit has cooled, remove the lid.
Turn the lid upside down and remove the anti-block shield. Simply
pull firmly on the anti-block shield to remove. Check the exhaust
valve (also referred to as pressure regulator valve) and clean if
necessary.
Using a brush, check for and remove any food or foreign particles
that may be lodged in the exhaust valve or floating valve.
Replace the anti-block shield on the bottom of the exhaust valve.
Firmly push the anti-block shield to secure it in position.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service
representative.
SAFETY FEATURES
There are six safety features installed in the pressure cooker to assure its
reliability.
Lid Safety Device: The appliance will not start pressuring until the lid is
closed and locked properly. The lid cannot be opened if the appliance
is filled with pressure.
Pressure Control Device: The correct pressure level is automatically
maintained during the cooking cycle.
Pressure Limit Valve: The pressure limit valve will release pressure
automatically when the pressure inside exceeds the preset pressure.
