3. Installation on Emerson Fans Having a
Modular Switch Housing with Center Screw
3.1
Disconnect Electrical Power to the Branch Circuit at the
Circuit Breaker or Main Fuse Box before attempting to
install the Ceiling Fan Light Fixture.
3.2
Remove the Switch Housing from the Cover Plate by
removing the Three Screws around the side of the
Switch Housing (Figure 1).
Retain the Three Screws for future use in Step 3.9.

carefully.

instructions should be done or approved by a licensed
electrician.

Turning off wall switch is not sufficient. To avoid
possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned
off at the main fuse box before wiring. All wiring
must be in accordance with National and Local codes
and the ceiling fan must be properly grounded as a
precaution against possible electrical shock.
