BAKING/ROASTING
(contd.)
4.
When roasting, preheating the oven is not nec-
essary unless your recipe
recommends
it.
NOTE: The oven will heat
normally even though
"PrE HEAt" is displayed
and then maintain the
selected cooking
temperature.
• For even cooking, place the meat on a rack in a
shallow pan. This keeps the meat out of the
drippings and allows the heat to circulate better.
• Use a meat thermometer for the most accurate
doneness. Insert it so the tip is in the center of
the largest muscle or thickest portion of the meat
or poultry. Make sure the thermometer
is not
touching bone, fat, or the bottom of the pan.
5. Press START/ENTER.
A preheat mode is entered after the oven
temperature
has been set and START has been
pressed. Once the preheat conditioning
ends,
the selected oven temperature
replaces "PrE
HEAt" on the display. You will hear a 1-second
tone, indicating the oven is ready to use.
The ULTRABAKE
TM
system electronically
regulates the preheat and temperature
to maintain
a precise temperature
range for the best cooking
results.

meal.
