Before You Begin

IMPORTANT! Use clear, 100% silicone sealant. Other silicone sealants containing less than 100% silicone
may not provide water and mildew resistance over the life of the product.
Review the manufacturer's instructions for the plumbing components, shower doors, and any other
accessories that you plan to install.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Do not remove the old fixture before you unpack and inspect the new unit.
Unpack and inspect the received components for damage. If you find any damage, do not install the
component. Report any shortages or damage immediately to the place of purchase.
After inspection, return the components to the carton until you are ready to install them.
Construction Considerations
IMPORTANT! Risk of property damage. Do not add silicone sealant unless directed. The inappropriate
use of silicone sealant may trap moisture and could result in concealed leakage, as well as mold or
mildew.
Sealant is required at the edge of the finished wall and the receptor. Sealing according to the
manufacturer's instructions may also be required if a shower door is added.
This receptor unit must be installed in an alcove.
Locate the rough plumbing for the drain according to the roughing-in dimensions for your
particular model.
