Make sure your path is clear and use caution when pedaling into corners. Turn on the electric assist hub
by pressing the power button located on the battery. Once you begin to pedal, the hub will automatically
engage and provide assistance. Based on riding conditions, the automatic transmission will adjust as
necessary. The hub provides electric assistance the maximum speed listed on the hub. Above this
speed, the hub will stop assisting until the speed drops below the maximum. The battery pack will
automatically shut off if left idle for more than 10 minutes.

• The maximum load capacity of the rack is 25 kg (55 lb), in addition to the weight of the battery.
• Distribute loads evenly between the two sides of the rack.
• Do not obscure any refl ectors and/or lights when loading the rack.
• The rack is compatible with pannier hooks, bungie cords, fenders, approved child seats, and trailers
that attach directly to the axle. Consult the manufacturer's instructions for installation of these
products.

1. Place the rear wheel into the rear dropouts. Rotate the wheel so that the connector is positioned
straight down.
2. Slide one retaining washer onto each side of the axle, with the tab of the washer positioned inside the
opening of the dropout.
3. Install both axle nuts and use a 15 mm wrench to tighten to 30-40 N

• Use a singlespeed chain only.
• Size and install the chain according to your chain manufacturer's instructions.
• Make sure your chain has the proper tension and is not excessively tight in any single spot through
the drivetrain.
• EMATIC is designed for a singlespeed drivetrain only and is not to be used with front or rear
derailleurs.
• A chain tensioner is required for vertical dropouts.
