Thunder storms/non-use

Pull the mains plug from the socket and the telephone cable from the base
station if you are likely to be away for a long period of time or if there is a
thunder storm.
If the device is not going to be used for a long period, remove the
rechargeable battery from the handset to prevent battery leakage. Leaking
batteries can damage the handset.
