• To make recycling possible, the
plastics used in this product have
been coded.
• The cardboard packaging has been
made of recycled material and is fully
recyclable.
Important
• Check if the dustbag has been inserted
correctly before you use the appliance
for the first time.
• Never suck up water or any other liquid.
Never suck up ashes until they are cold.
• Sucking up fine dust may cause the
pores of the dustbag to become clogged.
This will obstruct the passage of air
through the bag. If this happens, the
dustbag will have to be replaced, even if
it is not full yet.
• To avoid damage: never use the vacuum
cleaner without the motor protection
filter.
• Only use the vacuum cleaner with the
special two-layer paper dustbags, type
Philips HR 6995 Geneva.
• If the mains cord of this appliance is
damaged, it may only be replaced by
Philips or by an authorised Philips
service centre, as repair requires special
tools and/or parts.
How to use the appliance
- To connect the hose: slide open the cover and
insert the hose into the opening (fig. 1).
To disconnect the hose: press the buttons and
pull out the hose (fig. 2). Close the cover.
- To connect the tube to the handgrip: see fig. 3.
- To adjust the combi nozzle to the type of floor
to be cleaned: see fig. 4 (for carpets) or fig 5
(for hard floors).
- To switch the appliance on: see fig. 6.
- To adjust the suction power (only type
HR 6326/6329): see fig. 7.
- To carry the appliance: lift it by the handle
(fig. 8).
Insufficient suction power?
Please check:
- if the dustbag is full;
- if the nozzle, tube or hose is blocked.
To remove the obstruction, let the air flow
through the hose and/or tube in opposite
direction (fig. 9).
Accessory
- Open the lid of the accessory storage
compartment by pressing it (fig. 10).
- Take out the accessory (crevice nozzle/brush)

and connect it to the handgrip (fig. 11).
Storage
- Switch the appliance off (fig. 6).
- Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
- Rewind the mains cord by pressing the cord
rewind button (fig. 12).
- Attach the lower tube to the vacuum cleaner
(fig. 13 and 14).
Replacing the dustbag
- If the 'dustbag full' indicator becomes red
(fig. 15), the dustbag should be replaced.
- Open the cover (fig. 16).
- Push the upper dustbag holder upwards
(fig. 17).
- Remove the full dustbag.
- Slide the cardboard front of the new dustbag
into the two slots of the lower dustbag holder
as far as possible (fig. 18).
- Push the upper dustbag holder downwards
(fig. 19).
- Close the lid ("Click!").
• Note that it is not possible to close the cover
when no dustbag has been inserted.
Paper dustbags
• Paper dustbags (set of 6 pcs) type HR 6995
Geneva (service number 4822 480 10227) are
available from your dealer. Please state the
correct type number or service number.
• A new motor protection filter and an exhaust air
filter are provided free of charge with each set
of paper dustbags.
Replacing the motor protection filter
Replace the motor protection filter when you
insert the first of a new set of dustbags (fig. 20).
Replacing the exhaust air filter
- Remove the holder (fig. 21).
- Insert the bottom edge of the new filter properly
into the ridges of the holder (fig. 22).
- Close the holder by pressing it home gently.
Make sure that the filter fits completely into the
holder (fig. 23).
