Before to use this instrument the User guide and Safety warnings must be
read and understood.
Safety procedures and rules for working near high voltage energized systems
must be observed during the use of this equipment. The generated voltages
may be dangerous.
Do not connect or disconnect the test leads during the measurement.
Do not touch the acrylic cover of the galvanometer with the energized termin-
als. This could cause a static charge that will affect all the measurements.
Be careful not to make short-circuit between the high voltage terminals and
the "-R" or "Guard" terminals while a measurement is running, because it may
be dangerous for the operator and the output fuse may blow-up.
Be sure that there are not any voltage difference between the points to which
the insulation tester will be connected to, neither between them and ground.
The panel, terminals and connectors of the equipment must stay dry and
clean.
This equipment should be used only by a trained and competent
person, strictly applying suitable safety rules.
