Troubleshooting

This chapter lists some problems you might encounter while using your
phone. Some problems require you to call your service provider, but most
are easy to correct yourself.

Possible causes
There is no SIM card
in the phone or it is
inserted incorrectly.
Weak signal outside of
GSM network area.
Operator applied new
services.
Not supported by
service provider or
registration required.
Dialing error.
New SIM card inserted.
Prepaid charge limit
reached.
New network not
authorized.
Power/Lock key not
pressed long enough.
Battery is not charged.
Battery contacts are
dirty.
Possible Corrective Measures
Make sure that the SIM card is correctly
inserted.
Move towards a window or into an
open area. Check the network operator
coverage map.
Check if the SIM card is older than 6~12
months. If so, change your SIM at your
network provider's nearest branch.
Contact your service provider.
Check for new restrictions.
Contact service provider or recharge
balance.
Press the Power/Lock key for at least
two seconds.
Keep charger attached for longer.
Take out the battery and insert it again.
Clean the contacts.
