BUILDING TELEPHONE SYSTEM STRUCTURE

Building Telephone System provides intercommunication between the audio door entry system and
the dwellings using the FERMAX ADS communication system. It can manage up to 199 apartments(*).
Building Telephone System consists of:
- ADS or MDS outdoor panel (City pannel with push buttons, Direct or Digital pannel with Electronic
Directory)

- Telephone Central Unit (Ref. 2578)

- Telephone System Relay Module (Mainboard) (Ref. 2579)
- Telephone System Relay Card (Ref. 2580)
- 40 Way Cable (Cod. 93645) or 50 Way Cable (Cod. 90549)
(*) Sometimes it is possible use the Building Telephone System in installations with more than 199
dwellings, combining the MDS and ADS systems. See Telephone System installations paragraph
for details.
ADS System Features
The ADS System (Audio Digital System) designed by FERMAX ELECTRÓNICA, has the following
characteristics:
- Simplified installation with only 3 wires (+, - , L)
- It is possible to use pushbutton pannels (City) or keyboard pannel (Direct or Digital)
- Up to 199 apartments and one or 2 entrances.
- Privacy on communication.

Telephone Central Unit (Ref. 2578)
It is the mastermind of the system, monitoring all the calls. It links the outdoor pannel with the phone
lines, and it can manage up o 199 apartments.
It communicates with ADS System by means of the 3 wires of the ADS bus (+,L,-). It is also connected
to the mainboard bus by means of six lines: +, -, Dt, Ck, E, G. (between 12-35Vdc, Data Clock,
Enable, Gnd)
There is a double relay which can be activated from the apartments.
One extra power supply feeds with 35/50 Vac to generate the call signal and 18 Vdc voltage is supplied
by the ADS system (voltage range +12/35 Vdc, as higher voltage is supplied, the higher call signal is
generated). There are 2 potenciometers to adjust audio level, on both ways, between outdoor pannel
and telephone.
