Section 6: Installation Instructions for Cavitron
SPS™ Scaler with Cavitron

6.1 General Information

If the installation of your Cavitron
Scaler with Cavitron Select™ Reservoir System is performed by

someone other than trained DENTSPLY Distributor personnel, someone other than trained DENTSPLY someone other than trained DENTSPLY
care should be taken to observe the following requirements and
recommendations.

6.2 Electrical Requirements

6.3 Unpacking the System

Carefully unpack your Cavitron
that all components and accessories are included:
1. Cavitron ® Select™ SPS™ Scaler.
2. Cavitron ® Select™ Reservoir Pump.
3. Cavitron ® Select™ Reservoir Bottle.
4. Detachable AC Power Cord set.
5. Steri-Mate Detachable Sterilizable Handpiece.
6. Steri-Mate Flow Control Detachable Handpiece
Cable Assembly with Swivel.
7. Dual Position Foot Control Assembly.
8. Hose / Filter / Quick Disconnect Assembly.
9. Additional Water Line Filter.
10. Additional Pump Lavage Filters.
11. Medically Approved Power Supply.
12. Literature Packet.

6.4 Assembling the System

• Remove protective sticker from edge card connector on the scaler.
• Rinse Cavitron ® Select™ Reservoir Bottle before using.
• Insert Cavitron ® Select™ Reservoir Bottle into Cavitron
Select™ Reservoir Pump and rotate clockwise until bottle
locks into place.

• Connect Cavitron
Select™ Reservoir System. Insert male edge card connector
on Cavitron
