2- WARNINGS

In order to handle the air conditioner correctly, read
the following information carefully. Below is set forth
a series of safety warnings and advice:
These appliances should be installed and used in
accordance with the Regulations and Standards for
refrigerator, electrical and mechanical equipment
prevailing in relation to the location of such
installations.
As part of its policy for ongoing improvements of its
products, Saunier Duval reserves the right to modify
these specifi cations without prior notice.
Saunier Duval cannot foresee all the possible
circumstances that could pose a potential risk.
These units have been designed and manufactured
for the purposes of acclimatisation by means of air
conditioning; the use thereof for other domestic
or industrial purposes shall be the exclusive
responsibility of the persons projecting, installing or
using them in that way.
Prior to handling, installing, start up, using or
performing maintenance on the unit, the persons
assigned to perform these tasks should be familiar
with all the instructions and recommendations set
forth in the unit's installation manual.
In the event that any irregularity is detected (such as
a smell of smoke), unplug the unit from the mains
immediately and get in touch with the distributor in
order to proceed properly. If you continue to use the
air conditioner in these irregular conditions, the unit
may be damaged, causing short circuiting or fi re.
Do not insert fi ngers or other objects into the air inlets
and outlets or swing llouvers in the unit whilst it is
running since the high speed of the fan could cause
injury.
Call a specialised technician in order to take measures
to prevent the refrigerant gas from leaking. Leaking
refrigerant of a certain density can cause oxygen
displacement. If the air conditioner is installed in
a small room, please ensure that the necessary
measures are taken to prevent any symptoms of
oxygen defi ciency in the event of a refrigerant gas
leak.
If the air conditioner is removed and later reinstalled,
its proper installation should be checked again.
Otherwise water leakage, refrigerant leakage, short
circuiting or even fi re could be caused.
Do not dismantle the outdoor unit outlet. Exposing
the fan can be very dangerous.
The base of the unit should be checked regularly for
damage. If a damaged base is not repaired, it could
fall down and cause an accident.
Do not place any object on the outdoor unit.
Do not operate the unit with wet or damp hands as
there would be a risk of electrocution.
Only use the right fuses for each model. Do not use
wire or any other material to replace the fuse as this
could cause faults or fi re.
Do not place a naked fl ame in the unit's airfl ow. Do
not use sprays or other infl ammable gases close to
the unit as this would be a fi re hazard.
It is forbidden to install the air conditioner close to a
heat source, fl ammable or corrosive materials or the
air vent of a neighbouring building.
Unplug the unit from the mains before cleaning in
order to avoid short circuiting and possible injury.
Do not clean the unit with water.
Connect the earth cable to the right line (not to the
gas pipe, water pipe, neutral line or telephone line).
Incorrect earthing may cause electrical risk.
Connect the condensed pipe correctly to ensure
effi cient discharge. Incorrect pipe connection may
cause water leakage.
Install differentials to avoid possible short circuiting.
Do not leave the air conditioner running whilst using
insecticides and pesticides. Poisonous chemicals
may settle in the unit and harm the health of persons
with allergies to chemical substances.
Avoid prolonged exposure to cooled air or extreme
temperatures in a room. This could be a health
hazard.
Do not expose animals or plants directly to the unit's
airfl ow as this could be harmful.
The personnel in charge of receiving the unit should
perform a visual check to verify if the unit has been
damaged during transport.
