2.2.Speci c safety advice

The Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW must be installed in a location sheltered from bad weather, and
out of the reach of children.
1) Make a loop on the supply cable for the Heating Slim
Receiver RTS 2kW with standard connections to
prevent water ingress.
2) Ensure that the total power of the heating lamp(s)
connected to the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW PCB
does not exceed 2000 W.
3) Never connect several Heating Slim Receiver RTS
2kW units to a single heating lamp or heating ramp.
4) The type of metal surface located near to the Heating
Slim Receiver RTS 2kW may reduce the radio range.
5) Check the radio range before tting the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW. The radio range may be limited
by the radio appliance control standards.
The use of a radio appliance (e.g. Hi-Fi radio
headphones) operating on the same frequency
may cause interference and be detrimental to the
product's performance.
6) The building in which the product is used may reduce
the radio range. The radio range is X = 200 m in open
space (± 20%).

3. Installation

3.1. Installation recommendations

• Minimum distance between a Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW and the ground: (e.g. 180 cm between
any RTS control points and/or between any control point and any motor).
• Installation of the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW depends on the ramp it is used with, refer to the
technical speci cations supplied by Somfy ("Technical data" section).
• Do not install the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW under the heating ramp.
3.2. Fitting the Heating Slim Receiver RTS
2kW with standard connections
- Cut off the mains power supply.
- Connect the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW with
standard connections to the mains, following the wiring
diagram:
- Heat = Heating ramp side (a)
- 230 V supply = Power supply side (b)

- Mount the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW (for
example with Rilsan® clips).

3.3. Fitting the Heating Slim Receiver RTS 2kW Plug

- Cut off the mains power supply.
- Disconnect the heating ramp cable quick connection
