 T heWSserieshasbeenapprovedwithaflowsensitivityclassU0/D0.
■
However,toachievethebestmeasurementresults,werecommend
observingnationalregulationsandrecognisedrulesoftechnology.
 F orWSseriesisrecommendedastraightinletsectionofatleast5xDN.
■
Ifthereisnosufficientinletsectionbepresent,orbehindpipeelbow,
werecommendtouseahoneycombrectifierfromZENNER.
 I deally,atleast2xDNshouldbeavailableastheoutletsection.
■
Beforeinstallingthemeter,thepipingmustbethoroughlyflushedout.
■
 T hepipediametershouldnotbereduced,directlyinfrontandbehind
■
themeter.
Flangegasketsmustnotextendintothepipe.
■
 I tmustbeensuredthattheflowdirectionofthemetermatchesthatof
■
thepipe.
 V alvesorotherflowregulatorsshouldbeinstalled,wherepossible,
■
behindthemeter.
 T hemetershouldbeinstalled,wherepossible,atthehighestpointofthe
■
pipeinstallationsothatairbubblesarenotabletoforminthemeterand
thepipeisalwayscompletelyfilled.
 I fnecessary,themetershouldbeprotectedbyacorrespondingfilter,
■
sothatnoforeignparticles,suchasstonesorsand,areflushedintothe
measuringinstrumentandcausedamage.
 T hemetermustbeprotectedagainstpressuresurgesinthepipe
■
network.
 T hemaximumwatertemperaturemustnotexceedthepermissible50°C
■
forcoldwater.
 I nordertopreventdamagetothemeasuringinsertcausedbypressure
■
surges,thepipemustbeslowlyfilledfollowinginstallation.
 I tmustbeensuredthatthemeterisinstalledinade-energisedstatein
■
thepipe.Inthecaseofaninstallationthatisnotde-energised,thehous-
ingofthemeasuringinstrumentcanbedamagedandwatermayescape.
 T hepipelinepressuremustnotexceedthemaximumworkingpressure
■
ofthemeter,asthiscanleadtoleaksanddamageofthemeter.
 T opreventthedisassemblyofthemeterwerecommendtosecurethe
■
connectioninterfacewithasafetydevice(adhesivelabel,seal,etc.).

 B eforechangingthemeasuringinsert,thepipemustberinsedcarefully

shutoffthepressuresideandemptythepipe.
 T hecomplianceoftheinterfacesmarkingonthemeasuringandatthe
■
specifiedinterface(body)(WS1)mustbechecked.
 A fterdisassemblyofthemeasuringinsertoldgaskets/sealsmustbe
■
removed.Thesealingsurfacesmustbecleanedandcheckedfordamage.
 I tisimportanttoensurethattheinletareaisfreeofdeposit,beforea
■
newmetrologicalunitisinstalled,becauseasthesecanleadtodevia-
tionsofthemeasurementresult.
 U seonlythegenuineseals,whicharedeliveredtogetherwiththemea-
■
suringinsert.Thesehavetobecheckedpriortoinstallationfordamage
andfit.
 W henusinglubricants/assemblypastese.g.fortheseals,itmustbe
■
ensuredthatthesearesuitableforcontactwithdrinkingwater.
 T ightenthescrewsofthemeasuringunitevenlycrosswise(M12:DN50–
■
DN100=60Nm;M20:DN150–DN200=100Nm).
 T opreventthedisassemblyofthereplacablemeasuringinsert,itmust
■
beconnectedwiththeconnectioninterface(housing)byasealingwire.
