Cleaning Pressure Cup
(289233 only)
1. Flush, page 7.
2. Use a rag moistened in solvent to wipe cup
lid, fluid tube, shield, and inside of cup.
3. After each use, check to see that the check
valve (113) in the bottom of the pressure
inlet elbow (111) is free of paint and debris.

valve brass retainer ring (C), remove spring
(B) and ball (A) and soak in compatible
solvent. Reassemble with small end of
spring facing ball when inserted into elbow.

Cleaning Nozzle and Air Cap

Maintenance Kit 8260 is available. Kit
includes cleaning brushes and pen oiler.
1. Remove air cap (13), trigger gun, remove
nozzle (11), and soak both in a compatible
cleaning solution.

2. Clean them and the front of the gun with
a soft-bristle brush dipped into compatible
solvent. Do not use a wire brush or metal
tools.
3. Use a soft implement, such as a toothpick
to clean out air cap holes.
Cleaning Pressure Regulator
(289233 only)
CAUTION
Regulator assembly will be damaged if paint
or solvents enter the gauge, safety valve,
or regulator body. Always remove regulator
assembly from gun before placing gun in a
gun washer. Never submerge the regulator
in solvent.
The regulator requires no maintenance. Parts
can be cleaned with warm water and soap.
Only disconnect the pressure tube (110) at the
cup pressure inlet elbow (111). See F

Compliant Cleaning Methods

1. Place spray gun in a gun washer that com-
pletely encloses the gun and components
during cleaning, rinsing, and draining.
2. Spray solvent through the spray gun into
a closed gun cleaning station.

To install: push
in tube, tighten fitting.
To remove: loosen
fitting, pull out tube.
