Malfunction status
Chain does not run.
Engine does not start.
Insufficient performance.
No oil on the saw chain.
Chain does not stop even the chain
brake is activated.
The tool vibrates abnormally.
Chain does not stop when engine is
idle.
Possible cause
Chain brake is engaged.
Spark plug malfunction.
Fuel tank is empty.
Fuel supply problem.
Tool malfunction.
Air cleaner is dirty.
Cylinder space is dirty.
Environment temperature is very low.
Oil tank is empty.
Oil guide groove is dirty.
Oil delivery is not adjusted properly.
Oil pump malfunction.
Brake band worn down.
Loose guide bar or saw chain.
Tool malfunction.
Idle speed is too high.
Clutch defect.

Remedy
Release chain brake.
Check the spark plug.
Fill the fuel tank.
Check whether the fuel filter is not clogged.
Ask your local authorized service center for repair.
Clean the air cleaner. Replace it if necessary.
Clean cylinder space.
Change the shutter setting of the carburetor. See
section "Prevention from carburetor icing".
Fill the oil tank.
Clean the groove.
Adjust amount of oil delivery.
Ask your local authorized service center for repair.
Stop using the tool immediately, and ask your local
authorized service center for repair.
Adjust the guide bar and saw chain tension.
