Cleaning Instructions

Before Each Use...
Always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling the

Breastmilk Expression Set, the pump, or other attachments.
Take the Breastmilk Expression Set apart to clean.

Ensure that the tubing is free of any liquid. Do not operate the pump if
n
liquid is visible in the tubing.
Cleaning Instructions
Unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider, follow these sanitizing
and cleaning instructions.
Sanitization Prior To First Use
1. Prior to using the set for the first time, disassemble and boil all parts of the
Breastmilk Expression Set for 10 minutes.
Note: Ensure you use enough water to keep parts afloat while boiling.

Note: Do not boil the tubing and tubing connector.

2. Remove all parts from water immediately after boiling.
3. Completely air or towel dry before assembly and next use.
Note: Partially dried parts may affect operation of the pump.

Please ensure parts are completely dry before use.
Cleaning
Set aside the tubing and tubing connector. These items do not need to be
n
washed or sanitized because the diaphragm prevents them from coming
into contact with the breastmilk.
All parts of the Breastmilk Expression Set may be cleaned in the upper
n
compartment of your dishwasher or hand washed with dish soap in hot
water. Do not use solvents or abrasives. Rinse with hot, clean water.
To clean your Breast Pump, wipe the base with a damp cloth, using only
n
water or mild soap.
Note: For best results, make sure the diaphragms are completely
n
dry before use.
Do not wash the tubing or tubing connector.

Note: Before using the Breastmilk Expression Set, visually inspect the
individual components for cracks, chips, tears, discoloration or deterioration,
as they may affect the functionality of the Breastmilk Expression Set. Please

Assembling the Breastmilk Expression Set

Your Breastmilk Expression Set comes preassembled in Lansinoh
packaging. Clean Breastmilk Expression Set parts (except tubing and tubing
connector) as described in the "Cleaning Instructions" section (see page 7).
Once all parts are clean and dry, assemble the expression set as follows:
1. Place purple diaphragm on top of breast flange body,
twist clear diaphragm cap onto breast flange body,
enclosing the purple diaphragm. Diaphragm can be
used on either side. Ensure diaphragm cap is
twisted tightly into place.
2. Push breast flange into breast flange body.
3. Gently secure white valve into the bottom of breast flange.
Note: Use caution when handling and cleaning the small white valve
(see page 7).
4. Screw breastmilk storage bottle onto breast flange body.
5. Insert tubing into back of clear diaphragm cap, ensuring a tight fit.
6. Insert tubing connector, at end of tubing, into tubing adapter input on the pump.
