11. OPERATION
POWERING
•
Upon powering the unit, the display momentarily comes on highlighting the wording "EP" and the green and red
LEDs next to the display start flashing simultaneously.
If the two programming keys are pressed at the same time within 4 secs., the unit is returned to the pre-set values
indicated in the table on page 9. After 4 secs. the display aims at Function "0" from which the unit's programming
can be accessed. If no programming operations are effected after approximately 4 secs., the display powers off
automatically.
Note: In the event of a malfunction, the display identifies its typology (see Section 9 on page 8).
Upon powering the unit, the only manoeuvres performed are those from an at-will command by the user
CONFLICTING COMMANDS
•
In case of conflicting commands being simultaneously given, the unit does not perform any of them.
APPLIED MOTOR FORCE SETTING
•
Set applied motor force during opening via function "0" and during closing via function "69". Too high a setting
adversely affects "OBSTACLE DETECTION" sensitivity.
OBSTACLE DETECTION SENSITIVITY SETTING
•
Disable the limit switches (if available), allow the automatic access to reach the end of the manoeuvre and check
the correct operation of "FUNCTION 1 – obstacle detection", repeat the same operation by checking the operation
of "FUNCTION 70 – obstacle detection during closing". Set the value of the aforementioned functions to ensure an
adequate safety level of the automatic access.

•
No power supply
•
Tripping of the limit switch (opening of the NC contact)
•
Activation of the obstacle detection function "3".
•
Activation of any of the safeties (opening of the NC contacts associated with the photocell, opening safety and
closing safety).
•
Expiry of maximum working time as set via function "9".
•
Stop before any reverse manoeuvre for motor protection.
•
Pushing of the STOP button (opening of the NC stop contact). In this case to reset the movement, release the
Stop pushbutton and give another Radio or "OPEN" or "CLOSE" command (terminals 1-4 "CLOSE" and 1-5
"OPEN").
•
