8. PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS (continues)
FUNCTION 13 - Pre-opening flashing time
This function permits to set the pre-opening flashing time of the warning light to between 0 and 10 secs.
FUNCTION 14 - Pre-closing flashing time
This function permits to set the pre-closing flashing time of the warning light to between 0 and 10 secs.
FUNCTION 20 - Partial opening (terminals 1 & 20)
This function permits to set partial opening time by means of an external NO contact to be connected to terminals 1 and 20
on the control terminal strip.
The time to be set is between 3 and 60 secs. The automatic closing occurs after the dwell time (Function 10) and the
pre-closing flashing time.
FUNCTION 41
Safety self-test (terminal 41)
This function permits to enable or disable the safety self-test (for the photocell and the safety ribs, inputs on terminals 6, 7,
and 8) which is performed before any gate movement. This function is carried out by appropriate photocells (such as
Prastel FOTO/30SDE or FOTOTEST/2).
In case of the test not being passed (i.e., one of the safeties is not working properly), the requested operation is not
performed.
Set value to:
0 =
self-test disabled
1 =
self-test enabled (self-test time = 100 msec).
Note:
A 24VDC impulse is invariably sent to terminal 41 before any manoeuvre, regardless of whether the self-test function is
enabled or not,, this impulse can be used to activate expansion cards LC/24 (activation of a courtesy light for a fixed time of
3 min.), and ES/24 (activation of a 24 VDC electrolock ).
Note:
Always make sure that when the self-test is enabled, all the safeties are in testing condition; otherwise the non-
testable safeties should be disabled (corresponding function set to "0").
FUNCTION 69 - Applied motor force setting (TRIAC) during closing
This function allows the setting of the applied motor force during closing from minimum to maximum. Disable the "Obstacle
control" (set value "0" of function "70"). Depending on ambient and installation conditions, set to appropriate value. Set the
values bearing in mind that: :
50 =
minimum settable value (50%)
00 =
maximum settable value (100%)
Note:
Motor force at pick-up peaks for 1.5 sec's. Before any gate movement, a self-test is conducted on the TRIAC (on this
matter see Section 9: "Error Messages on the Display).
This application is typical on swinging doors which require minor force both during closing and opening.
FUNCTION 70 - Obstacle detection sensitivity during closing
By means of this function, the obstacle detection sensitivity during closing can be set, allowing the stopping of the
automatic access according to the obstacle to be detected ( FUNCTION 3 ).
Set the applied motor force "Function 69" to the lowest value required to move the automatic access.
Regulate the sensitivity bearing in mind that:
0 =
= disabling of the obstacle detection
10=
= maximum sensitivity, i.e., a minimum resistance is required to detect the obstacle.
Note:
The typical application is on swinging doors coupled to a lower applied motor force during closing (Function 69) compared
to the opening one.
