INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The latch door is equipped with counterbalances which ensure smooth movements as well as closure of the door.
The counterbalances can be regulated by adding washer/s (additional counterbalances) that are supplied with the fireplace.
The additional counterbalances (washers) can be mounted at any time without removing the fireplace mantel cover.
PROCEDURE (fig. 11):
1. Open the latch door completely by pushing it upwards.
2. Release the left and right plates which support the walls of the Ecokeram hearth
3. Remove the walls of the Ecokeram hearth
4. At this point, you will see the lids which close the inspection inlet where the counterbalances are. Remove the lids (6) of these
inlets by loosening the six screws (7).
5. Place the counterbalance washers (12) which are necessary to balance the door; these washers are supplied.
6. Be sure to insert the washers well in the counterbalance housing. The same number of additional counterbalances is to be
added on either side.
7. Put the sheet metal lids back and put the walls of the hearth back in their position.
8. Put back the fastening plates of the hearth's walls.
Finishing frame of the fireplace opening
To facilitate matching the FLAT fireplace covering, this can be done with a frame (A), which is to be placed at the front of the fireplace
opening.
