The largest nosepiece of the
nosepieces supplied is fitted to the
tool on delivery, see Chapter 2.3.
The other nosepieces are in the
base of the housing on delivery, see
Chapter 2.4.2.
Precondition:
The tool is disconnected from the compressed
air supply.
The necessary wrenches are on hand, see
Chapter 5.7.2.
1.
Loosen and remove the installed nosepiece
using the appropriate wrench.
2.
Insert the thread of the desired nosepiece into
the front sleeve.
3.
Tighten the desired nosepiece securely using
the appropriate wrench.
The size of wrench required
depends on the tool series.
3 .3 INSTALLING THE ANGLE RIVETING
HEAD
The structure of the angle riveting
head is described in Chapter 2.7.2.
For this operation, parts of the
setting tool have to be removed,
see Chapter 5.7.1.
Precondition:
The tool is disconnected from the compressed
air supply.
The necessary wrenches are on hand, see
Chapter 5.7.2.
1. Loosen and remove the front sleeve using the
appropriate wrench.
2. Loosen the clamping sleeve using the two
appropriate wrenches and remove together
with the clamping jaws in the clamping sleeve.
3. Remove the pressure spring and guide sleeve.
4. Loosen and remove the spacer using the two
appropriate wrenches.
5. Remove the vacuum nozzle from the plunger
rod.
6. Screw the lock nut completely onto the plunger
rod.
7. Unscrew the sleeve of the angle riveting head.
On the angle riveting head, the plunger
»
connector protrudes beyond the union nut.
8. On the angle riveting head, pull the plunger
connector as far as possible out of the union
nut.
The roll pin is visible in the angle riveting
»
head.
9. On the angle riveting head, remove the roll pin
from the plunger connector and place to one
side.
The plunger connector of the angle riveting
»
head is free.
10. Screw the removed plunger connector of the
angle riveting head onto the plunger rod of the
setting tool.
11. Lock the plunger connector of the angle
riveting head with the lock nut of the setting
tool.
12. Screw the smaller thread of the removed
sleeve of the angle riveting head onto the
plunger connector screwed onto the setting
tool.
13. Screw the sleeve of the angle riveting head
tightly onto the setting tool.
14. Attach the angle riveting head with the roll pin
to the plunger connector screwed onto the
setting tool again.
15. Screw the union nut of the angle riveting head
to the sleeve of the angle riveting head.
The angle riveting head is ready for

operation.
3 .4 INSTALLING DIFFERENT FRONT
SLEEVES
For this operation, parts of the
setting tool have to be removed,
see Chapter 5.7.1.
There is always a specific
spacer for the front sleeve. The
corresponding spacer is included
in the conversion kit for the front
sleeve. A specific filler piece is also
necessary with some front sleeves.
This filler piece is then included
in the conversion kit for the front
sleeve.
