Care and maintenance

During each servicing process:
Check the axial play of the cantilever profile for wear of the spindle nut.
S
Wear on the ball thread leads in the long term to increased noise and later to
blockage of the thread drive or to fracture of the spindle nut.
Warning
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause injury to people or damage to property
(danger of fingers being squashed). If a worn spindle nut breaks on a vertically
or diagonally fitted EGSA, the work mass will fall down.
S Send the EGSA to Festo for repairs when there are signs of wear.
Warning
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause injury to people or damage to property
(danger of fingers being squashed). Signals from the controller may cause
inadvertent movements of the EGSA.
S Switch off the controller before any work on the EGSA and secure the
controller to prevent it from being switched on again.
Clean the EGSA if required with a soft cloth.
