UPS and Battery Pack Installation

Use the following procedure to install the UPS and optional battery
packs:

Description
The UPS must be connected to an electrical system that meets all applicable

electrical code requirements, including grounding requirements.
Only qualified service personnel (such as a licensed electrician) should perform the
S
electrical installation. Risk of electrical shock.
1. Place the UPS near the equipment to be protected. The UPS
should be well ventilated and away from direct sunlight or
other heat source.
2. The UPS can be rack-mounted (EIA 19" or 23"), wall-mounted,
tower-mounted or laid flat.
3. If you are installing the UPS in a rack, on a wall, or side-by-side
in a tower configuration, see the instruction sheet (LTS-1713)
included with the installation brackets and screws.
