4. Steps 5 through 8 are for battery pack installation. If you do not
have optional battery packs, skip to Step 9.
NOTE The 3 kVA UPS must have at least one battery pack attached. Do not attach
more than two battery packs to a 1 kVA or 1.5 kVA UPS. Do not attach more than five
battery packs to a 3 kVA UPS.
5. Place the battery packs underneath or beside the UPS.
6. Turn off the UPS and battery pack circuit breakers.
7. Connect the battery pack cables (see Figure 1 and Figure 2).
8. Turn on the UPS and battery pack circuit breakers.
