ing to the type of installation chosen.
Oxia/Oxia Performance can be installed in different ways:
- Free standing on the floor or on a specifically prepared base (
- Semi-built in, so that only the base of the spa is built-in, therefore the
side cover panels remain free (
pare some removable under-frames (in marine plywood, etc.) that,
besides aesthetically completing installation, allow the panels to be
removed more easily. Measurements for insertion into the floor can be
taken from the base measurements of the spa (
- Built in, with the tub rim at floor level (
a base support must be made under the bottom of the tub (in
concrete and steel beams, (detail 1). Access to the hosing must
be ensured, and to all other electromechanical parts that are
under the tub. For example, by making a passage along the outer
perimeter, which is wide enough (about 80 cm) to carry out all
electrical and hydraulic connections and any maintenance opera-
tions (detail 2). This passage can be closed using removable
under-frames (detail 3), with suitable supports (detail 4).
Drainage for any water stagnation must also be provided (detail 5).
Prolonged sun exposure could damage the material of which
is made the spa shell, due to its capacity to absorb heat (dark
colours in particular). Don't leave the spa to sun exposure
without adequate protection when not in use (cover thermal,
gazebo, etc.). Any damage arising by not following these war-
nings are not covered by the guarantee.
I
In any case, a base support must be made that is suitable to hold
the weight of the Oxia model spa, referring to the "Weights" table
provided.
I
Oxia Performance: the filtering assembly (spa-pak) can be
located anywhere, but not more than 4 m from the mini-pool. If
installation is outdoors (in very cold areas), it is recommended to
provide valves that allow for complete drainage of the pipes that
connect the spa to the spa-pak.
If necessary, the spa-pak can be installed on a lowered surface
(with respect to the spa) with a maximum height difference of 1m.
Greater height differences may reduce the flow rate of the filtering
pump.
The spa-pak must be installed so that it is cannot be accessed
by individuals without using keys, and protected from water and
inclement weather.
I
You can use a garden hose to fill the spa.
For periodic filling, if you decide to connect the spa
hydraulic circuit to the main water system that supplies
drinking water, this connection must be carried out in
compliance with the EN1717 regulation, using "AA", "AB"
or "AD" anti-pollution protection procedures. For further
information, we recommend you contact your water supply
company and/or your plumber.
I
In the case of indoor installation, you must remember that water
evaporation from the spa (especially where high temperatures are
involved) can cause very high levels of humidity. Natural or forced
ventilation helps to maintain personal comfort and reduce damage

I
Concerning the suitability of the electrical system and of the con-
nections, refer to the second part of the manual for installation, use
and maintenance (see the chapter on ELECTRICAL SAFETY).
Electrical connections pre-arrangement
I
i
It is advisable to provide electricity with a single mono-phase line,
as shown in
4.
It is also possible to power the spa with a double-phase line which
includes a neutral wire (380~415V 2N).
N N O O T T E E : : if power is supplied with a double line (380-415V 2~ +N)
before making the connection you will need to remove the jumper
in the electrical box as per the instructions and diagrams in the in-
stallation manual.
I
The installer must in any case use properly protected cables with a
suitable cross-section

Oxia Performance: provide a cable for connection of the pump
of the spa-pak to the box of the mini-pool.
N.B. The lead sections must take account not only the sys-
tem's absorption but also the cable path and the distances,
the chosen protection systems and the specific regulations for
fixed electrical systems in force in the country where the spa
is installed. The electrical box terminal board is designed
for cables with sections up to 6 mm
I
To ensure the degree of protection against splashes of water as
required by standards, and to make connection to the electrical mains
easier, the electrical box is equipped with a cable clamp M25 x 1.5mm.
I
The installer must comply with the above requirements, use water-
proof fittings at the joints and guarantee compliance with the
specific plant engineering regulations in force in the country
where the spa is installed.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other pro-
cedure is prohibited.

Electrical safety

Oxia/Oxia Performance is a safe appliance, manufactured according
to EN 60335.2.60, EN 61000, EN 55014 regulations and tested
during production to guarantee user safety.
I
Installation must be carried out by qualified and authorized per-
sonnel, in compliance with the national provisions in force.
It is the responsibility of the installer to choose the
materials in relation to their use, to carry the work out
correctly, to check the condition of the system to
which the appliance is to be connected and its suit-
