Starting / stopping
the engine
: Note the safety instructions – refer
to the chapter "Safety precautions"
: Press the throttle trigger
interlock (1) and throttle trigger (2)
at the same time
:
Hold both triggers down
:
Move the slide control (3) to n and
hold it in this position
:
Then release the throttle trigger,
slide control and throttle trigger
interlock in that order =
starting throttle position

: Set the choke lever (4):
to l if the engine is cold
in the opposite direction of the arrow
if the engine is warm (even if the
engine has already run but is still
cold)
Machines with decompression valve:
: Press decompression valve
button (5).
The valve button must be pressed
before each attempt to start the
engine.

: Place the cut-off machine securely
on the ground – keep a good
balance – ensure that the cut-off
machine cannot touch any other
objects or the ground – there must
not be anyone within the swivel
range of the cut-off machine.
:
Press the cut-off machine firmly
against the ground holding it with
the left hand, thumb wrapped round
the handle
:
Place your right foot on the
carburetor box cover
