assembling and fi tting the product. Ensure that

• According to car accident statistics, the back
seat of the car is safer than the front seat; it is
therefore recommended to fi t the child car seat
in the back of the car.
• WARNING! SERIOUS DANGER! Never use this
child car seat on a front seat equipped with
frontal airbag. The child car seat can be fi tted
in the front seat of a car only if the frontal air
bag has been de-activated. Check with the car
manufacturer or in your car instruction manual
whether the airbag may be de-activated.
• If the child car seat is fi tted in the front seat of
the car (only if the frontal airbag is not present
or it has been de-activated), it is recommended
to pull the seat back as much as possible, but
ensuring that any passenger sitting in the back
seat has enough room for leg movement.
• Never use this child car seat on side-facing or
rear-facing car seats.
• Never fi t the child car seat in a car seat which is
only equipped with a 2 point car safety belt.
• No child car seat can guarantee the complete
safety of your child in the case of an accident;
its use, however, reduces the risk of injury or
death of your child.
• The incorrect use of the product increases the
risk of serious damage to the child, not only
in the case of accident, but also in other situ-
ations: always check that the child car seat is
correctly fi tted to the car seat.
• The child car seat must be replaced if it is dam-
aged, deformed or worn out, since it may no
longer comply with the original safety stand-
ards.
• Do not modify or add components to the prod-
uct unless approved by the relevant authority.
Do not use accessories, spare parts, or any
component not supplied by the manufacturer.
• Never leave your child unattended in the car
seat, even for the shortest time.
• To prevent the risk that your child may fall, fas-
ten your child by the safety harness even when
carrying the child car seat by hand.
• It is dangerous to use the child car seat on
raised surfaces out of the car.
• Never leave the child car seat unsecured in the
car: it may hurt or injure the passengers.
• Do not place anything between the car seat
and the child car seat, or between the child
car seat and your child, unless it is an acces-
sory approved by the manufacturer: in the case
of accident, the child car seat may not work as
required by safety standards.
• If the car is left under the direct sunlight, it is
recommended to cover the child car seat.
• An accident, even minor, may damage the child
car seat, even if it not visible to the naked eye:
it must be replaced in any case.
• Before carrying the child car seat by hand,
ensure that your child is fastened with the re-
straint harness and that the handle is correctly
locked in the vertical position.
• To transport your child in a child car seat fi tted
to a stroller, only use this child car seat with
Chicco strollers specifi cally designed for this
purpose.
• Before transporting your child in the child car
seat fi tted to the stroller, ensure that it is locked
safely.
• Do not use second-hand child car seats: they
may have suffered structural damage not vis-
