2.2. Maximum stroke in relation to window height
The actuator may be built into the window, or mounted on the outside of the frame or mobile section.
In all cases, the actuator stroke depends on the height of the window and its installation type.
Make sure that during the actuator stroke the chain does not touch the window profile, and there are no obstructions preventing opening
or applying excessive stresses to the window.
A
. For safety reasons, do not install the actuator if the height of the mobile section is less than that stated in the table
TTENTION
below, in relation to the chosen stroke (dimensions in mm).
If the height of the window is less than that stated, contact the manufacturer to verify the application.

3. USING THE ACTUATOR IN "SYNCRO" VERSION
In the SYNCRO version, the actuator features the patented system for synchronized operation of a set of actuators (up to eight at a time).
Chain speed is controlled by an electronic device inside the unit, with no external ECU required; the user simply connects the
communication wires, already included in the power supply cable, together (see diagram on page 28) and performs the reset procedure.
3.1. Identification
The SYNCRO version differs from other actuators in the same series in three respects:
• The technical data label carries the word "..... SYNCRO".
• The SYNCRO label, affixed next to the actuator's technical data label. (See right)
• In the 110/230V~ (AC) version only, the power supply cable has 5 wires (3+2).
3.2. Using SYNCRO version actuator
The SYNCRO version is installed when the window is particularly heavy or wide (more or less over 1.2 m) and just one actuator would not
be able to ensure perfect closure, meaning two or more fastening points are required.
With a set of SYNCRO actuators, smooth operation of the window is assured. If one of the actuators stops due to a mechanical or electronic
impediment, the others will also stop, protecting the window from any risk of damage.
Remember that the force applied by a set of actuators installed on the same window is equivalent to the sum of the forces applied by each
actuator; therefore, installing two actuators doubles the force applied to the window.
IMPORTANT. When calculating the size of a system with several SYNCRO actuators, estimate the force of each
actuator as 90% of the rated force.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTUATOR
VARIA TUBE series actuators operate windows by means of a chain running through the device. The chain is driven by a gear motor
powered by an electric motor, controlled by an electronic card; the travel direction (opening or closing) is established by the polarity of the
power supply wires, depending on the wiring layout used (see wiring diagrams see point 11).
The closed (chain retracted) stopping position is established by means of a self-detection process on the basis of power absorption, so no
adjustments are required for the closing stroke.
The actuator leaves the factory with the chain extended about 1 cm beyond the retracted limit stop position, to simplify installation of the
window.
