Mower Tracking
If your mower tracks to the left or right, a
tracking adjustment is needed.
To adjust the tracking, use the tracking
knob on the back of the mower and
follow these instructions:
1. If the mower tracks (pulls) to the right,
rotate the tracking knob to the left in
1/4-turn increments until the mower
tracks straight. See Figure 30. Turn left
to go left.
2. If the mower tracks (pulls) to the left,
rotate the tracking knob to the right
in 1/4-turn increments until the mower tracks straight. See Figure 30. Turn right to
go right.

1. Tighten blade and spindle.
2. Replace blade.
1. Perform side-to-side deck adjustment.
2. Sharpen or replace cutting blade.
3. Check and correct tire pressure in the rear tires.
1. Place throttle in FAST (rabbit) position.
2. Do not mulch when grass is wet.
3. Mow once at a high cutting height, then mow again at desired
height or make a narrower cutting swath.
4. Sharpen or replace blade.
1. Adjust neutral control linkage.
1. Adjust mower tracking.
1. Place blade engage lever in disengaged (OFF) position.
2. Replace fuse(s). See Engine Operator's Manual.
3. Engage parking brake.
