Maintenance
In case of abnormal noise or vibra-
tions, stop the blower and repair the
defect before restarting the blower.
Lubrication
The blower bearings are lubricated
from the factory and require no
further maintenance.
Tension control by means of Optibelt belt tension tester (additional
equipment)

Transmission
Too taut or too slack ribbed belts
reduce the efficiency and life of the
belt drive.
The best way of checking the ten-
sion of the ribbed belt is using the
Optibelt belt tension tester (addi-
tional equipment, see page 16).

After a running-in period of 0.5 to
4 hours of operation at full load
the ribbed belt should be checked
initially.
Tension the belt if required. The
extension taking place during the
running-in hours has now been
corrected.
We recommend regular control of
the belt tension, e.g. at intervals of
six months/2000 hours. Retension
when required.
To mount the ribbed belt reduce the
centre-to-centre distance so that
the belt may be mounted loosely.
Belts which have been forcibly
mounted or pulled over the belt pul-
ley will always be damaged.
Align the pulleys so that the
grooves are flush.
Abnormal heat generation, vibra-
tions or an excessive sound level
will normally be caused by foreign
matter in the grooves, incorrect belt
tension or loose pulleys.
Cleaning
Always ensure unimpeded ac-
cess of cooling air to and from the
blower.
