3. INSTALLATION
Pumps should not rest on the bottom of the
well, nor be placed very near the walls. To
avoid this, hang the pump from a cable
through the handle on the top.
Never hang the pump from the power cable
or the discharge line. The pump must be
completely submerged to ensure proper
cooling. See fig. 1 and fig. 2
Make sure the well flow is higher than
required, to prevent the pump from running
dry or from starting and stopping more often
than normal.
If the well water level fluctuates significantly,
we recommend installing level electroprobe
equipment.
To avoid ruining the motor power cable and
level electroprobe cables, attach them to the
discharge line with clamps when lowering
them into the well.
3.1. Discharge pipe assembly
The pumps are supplied ready to be connected a 1"
line.
However,
if
the
considerable and the paths are long and winding,
we recommend using lines with a larger diameter,
to avoid head loss due to friction as much as
possible
and
to
obtain
performance possible.
The ACUAPLUS kit provided already has a built-in
retention value to keep the installation pressurised
every time the pump stops.
If a plastic hose is chosen instead of a metallic line,
make sure it can withstand the pressure provided by
the pump. Prevent the hose from becoming twisted
because, in addition to preventing the desired flow,
proper pump operation will be hindered.
The lines must never rest their weight on the pump.
Ensure that there are no water leaks in the installation.
3.2. Electrical connection
Kit assembly should be performed in the discharge
line, before the first water intake, and be placed in a
dry, ventilated space. A 3-piece, rapid-switch unit is
provided to make attaching the line easier. (Figure 3).
The Kit comes with a manometer and an expansion
tank to prevent rapid drops in installation pressure.
These 2 accessories must be assembled with the
fittings and joints provided. (Figure 3)
For proper installation, bear in mind that the water
must always flow in an ascending vertical or horizontal
direction, never in a descending vertical one.
Mount the Kit directly in series with the discharge line,
as shown in Figures 1 and 2. Make sure the gaskets
are watertight (for example, with Teflon tape).
The weight of the discharge line must not rest on
the Kit. To ensure this does not happen, install a
flexible grid between the Kit and the line. (Figure 4)

For correct Kit functioning, the retention valve
must
be
able
measurements indicated in Figure 5 must
therefore be complied with strictly.
3.3. Electrical connection
The electrical installation must have a multi-
pole isolator with minimum 3mm contact
openings, The protection of the system will
be based on a differential switch (Δfn = 30mA)
An authorised technician must connect the
pump to the Kit electrically using the cable
provided, following the diagram shown in Fig. 6.
To lengthen the pump electrical cable, use
resin connection splices only. Pay especial
attention to having the colours of pump
cables
coincide
prolongation. Connecting the ground cable
(yellow-green) is essential.
Connect the power outlet of the ACUAPLUS
Kit
directly
to
appropriately protected, according to the
regulations in force in each country. Perform
all
electrical
connection
Regulation IEC-60364 (electrical installation
in buildings) or the regulations in force in the
destination country.
The pump start-up capacitor comes placed
inside the ACUAPLUS Kit.
Single-phase motors are equipped with built-
in thermal protection.
3.4. Verifications prior to initial start-up
Make sure the mains frequency and voltage
match the indications of the nameplate.
To conserve warranty conditions, supply
voltage must be within the limits of 230V
±10%.
Before starting the pump, make sure it is
properly installed. Check that no leaks exist
in gaskets or connections.
Check
