3) INSTALLATION

3.1) Hydraulic installation

3.1.1) Installation diagram.
The installation must comply with the requirements of the current regulations for the location where the
equipment is installed.
A typical installation will include at least the following
components:
1. Pressure set. Equipment supplied.
Expansion vessel. Its sole function is to compensate
for small water losses in the installation, preventing
the pump from continually starting and stopping. The
load pressure must be 0.5 bar less than the
consigned pressure.
2. Suction manifold. The suction manifold's diameter
must be equal or bigger than that of the discharge
maniold. Install flow valves between the collector and
the pumps to facilitate disassembly.
3. Anti-vibration. Anchor the set to a solid foundation
(for example a concrete baseplate) using anti-
vibration elements suited to the equipment's weight.
4. Rubber expansion joints To prevent the transmission
of noise and vibrations to the installation, it is advised
to install elastic expansion joints
discharge and suction manifolds..

3.1.2) Hydraulic connections

Suction:
The suction pipe must have a diameter equal or bigger than that of the set's inlet manifold, permanently
preserving a minimum ascending slope of 2% so that it contributes to proper purge.
If suction is made from a tank, it is essential to fit a foot valve submerged at least 30 cm below the water's
dynamic level so that eddies and the consequent drawing in of air are avoided.
For negative suction installations, the pipes must necessarily be completely primed.
Discharge:
Ensure that the discharge piping has a diameter equal or greater than that of the set's discharge manifold.
Neither the suction nor the discharge piping should lay up against the pumps.
When a greater diameter is used in the piping these shall be structured with the related eccentric cones for
suction and concentric cones for discharge.
3.2) Electrical power connection.
The electrical connections must be made by authorised personnel, in accordance with local installation
regulations.
DANGER: Before doing any electrical work, disconnect the mains power supply.
This manual's electrical diagram and the panel labels, contain the required information for proper connection
set-up.
DANGER. Electrocution risk:
Connection and grounding are mandatory.
Perform all electrical connections in accordance with Standard IEC-60364 (Electrical Installations
