1. INTRODUCTION
These operating instructions contain user notes
for the Universal status display USD. This pre-
cision measuring device has a 4-digit LCD dis-
play and can be used universally.
D.C. voltage/current readings as well as basic
display of pressure, temperature and flow
values can be carried out using a wide range
of different sensors.
The user can adjust the device to suit different
kinds of sensors by means of simple pro-
gramming of additional sensor characteristic
curves.

characteristic curves
3. SAFETY NOTES
These operating instructions contain informa-
tion and notes regarding the safe use and pro-
tection of the device, which must be strictly ob-
served.
Caution
To avoid electric shocks and damage to the in-
strument, do not connect voltages in excess of
30 V D.C. to the device.
Do not exceed the input values specified in the
table below, to avoid any damage to the de-
vice:
Input
V 0...30V, 0...10V
A 0...20mA
Pt100
NiCr-Ni
external voltage supply
Note
Do not connect voltage to input 'A 0...20mA
SP2' as this may cause damage to the device.
The input has been protected with a F0,1A in-
ternal fuse. If the current is too high, the fuse
will be blown and will require replacement. The
fuse must not exceed a nominal value of
100mA. Please observe the correct polarity
when using voltage input SP1 and current input
SP2.
