Hysteroscope - User Manual
Attach the fluid tubing to the cannula, as
described in section 6.2.
Press and Release POWER ON/OFF button.
The light source at the distal tip of the
cannula will now be illuminated. If the tip
of the cannula does not illuminate, system
hardware troubleshooting procedures should
be performed, as described in section 11.
Flush the fluid through the cannula until all air
bubbles have cleared from the tubing.
Using the Handheld Monitor touch screen,
enter the patient ID or touch the preview soft
button as described in section 6.7.
The Handheld Monitor is now ready for use.
The cannula comes with a pre-curved tip at an
angle of 25° ± 5°. The curve of the tip is similar
to that of most conventional cervical dilators.
The cannula is inserted through the cervical
canal, with fluid flowing, while viewing the image
as is standard procedure for introduction of
a hysteroscope.

6.9 Removal of the System

After the procedure is completed, remove the
hysteroscope, and press and release the
Handheld Monitor POWER ON/OFF.
Hold the Handheld Monitor vertically so the
cannula is below the Handheld Monitor. Gently
pull the cannula straight out from the Handheld
Monitor. The cannula will detach from the
Handheld Monitor.
CAUTION:
from the Handheld Monitor, be sure that
fluid does not contact the connector in the
Handheld Monitor. Do not rotate or twist the'
cannula while removing.
