2.2. IRONING INSTRUCTIONS
– The machine is designed for ironing flat undamaged linen (bedroom linen, table cloths, towels, dish towels,
handkerchiefs and other flat linen), made out of flax, cotton, wool, silk, polyacrilyc and polyester fibers.
– The manufacturer does not carry any responsibility for damaged linen due to improper ironing procedures.
– Ironing with feeder is designed only for rectangular linen which width is equal to the cylinder width. Linen which is
too narrow, please place on the feeding table manually, alternatively on the left and on the right side so as to load
uniformly the cylinder.
– If you feed by feeder the linen, which does not cover the whole width of roller, cool down the roller edges from
time to time by ironing several pieces of linen inserted manually.
– The machine is not designed for the ironing of linen which contains parts made out of metal, plastic, glass fibers
or rubber foam.
– Only linen with a residual moisture of 40±10% can be inserted into the Ironer. The Ironer will perform the final
drying. It is necessary to spin or pre dry linen with a higher residual moisture. Before Ironing, sprinkle with water
linen that is too dry.
– The linen must be properly rinsed. Not following this instruction may lead to yellowing of linen and deposits of
washing agents and dirt.
– The linen must be sorted according to its type and wash temperature. It is necessary to empty out the pockets,
and remove foreign objects like nails, pins, screws and so on, to avoid damage to the linen and the machine.
– Place laundry with buttons face up (buttons up) so that the buttons can get pressed into the roller cover.
– Be careful when ironing synthetic materials, so that they do not get stuck to the roller.
– Never leave the linen in the machine.
– Minimal fluctuations in the temperature can be influenced by a well skilled operator, who, depending on the type
of ironed linen and its residual moisture, changes the set temperature and the ironing speed on the control unit.
To get the maximum output from the Ironer, it is recommended to:
– Avoid temperature decrease by correct ironing procedure
– Try to iron fluently and smoothly.
– Lower the amount of time when there is no ironing being done when the temperature is at the working level.
– Group together linen according to the material, fiber type or residual moisture.
– Adjust the ironing speed and temperature to the specific needs of each ironing.
– Do not fold damaged linen with ragged edges or with holes in the cross folder, but use frontal output. Fold
the linen manually. By this you will avoid possible deadlock of linen in the machine.
– Keep temperatures recommended for individual types of linen according to tab. 4.1.1. You will avoid linen
deadlock in the machine due to excessive residual moisture or due to static charge. The linen should
have residual moisture 8% after ironing. If the value is lower, then static charge of overdried linen can
cause its spilling on the output roller and possibly failure of the machine!
2.3. INCORRECT USE OF THE MACHINE
WARNING !
!
THIS MACHINE WAS DESIGNED FOR INDUSTRIAL IRONING AND DRYING OF FLAT LINEN WASHED IN
WATER. ANY OTHER USE WITHOUT THE MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN CONSENT WILL BE UNDERSTOOD
AS INCORRECT USE OF THE MACHINE.
– Do not use the reverse action for any other purpose than to free a person or a caught object.
– Do not iron linen whose structure prevents the retention of moisture.
– Do not iron without alternatively placing the linen on the right and left side when feeding manually.
– Do not turn off the power supply to the machine if the machine's temperature is higher than 80°C, except in
unusual situations.
– When ironing small pieces, do not leave a lot of space between the pieces along the entire length of the roller.
– Do not run the machine at top speed during heating and cooling of the machine.
– Do not stop the machine if the ironing belts are not completely dry. Do not iron during cooling down of the machine, to
avoid oxidation of the roller by the wet ironing belts. Do not iron below 80 degrees C, to avoid oxidation of the roller.
– Do not insert into the ironer linen which contain objects whose hardness can damage the roller surface or the belts.
– Do not iron synthetic fibers at high temperatures.
– Do not iron at such a combination of the speed and temperature, when ironed linen will have residual
moisture lower than approx. 5 %.
2.4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT AND SAFETY OF PEOPLE
Some important information for the usage of the machine are not (or only partly) mentioned in this User´s Manual.
