Installing and removing the
batteries
NOTICE
When installing or removing the batter-
G
ies, select a location where dust and liq-
uids will not enter the unit.
Before removing the batteries, be sure
G
to turn off the unit. (See "Turning the
Power Tuner on or off" on page 6.)
The batteries are sold separately. Be sure to
have batteries before using the unit.
Use only AA rechargeable Ni-MH (nickel-met-
al hydride) batteries for the unit.
TIP
Fully charged AA rechargeable Ni-MH
G
(nickel-metal hydride) batteries can supply
enough power to the unit for approximately
2 hours* of continuous operation.
If you expect to use the unit for more than 2
hours, you should have spare batteries.
The operation time using alkaline batteries
G
will be shorter. In addition, operation using
alkaline batteries is not guaranteed.
Do not use manganese batteries.
G
If the unit will not be used for a long time, re-
G
move the batteries from the unit to prevent
them from discharging and to prevent dam-
age to the unit from leaking battery fluid.
* The length of time for the continuous operation
will vary depending on the operating
environment.
