Chocolate fountain Use instructions
Dipping
• You can use the following items for dipping, e.g.: foam sugar, grapes, apples, strawberries, bana-
nas, balls of ice cream, pastry, nuts. The choice is only limited by your imagination.
• Do not hold the "dipped" food over the collecting pan for too long as it may fall in and obstruct the
spiral.
Unpacking the appliance
• Remove the appliance from the box and all the enclosed accessories.
• Do not through the packaging away, but keep it together with the inner packing and the warranty
documents for the whole life of the warranty.
• If you pass this article to others, please also give them these instructions.
• In order to remove any impurities from the production process, clean the spiral, the dish and the
cascades before initial use in a simple soapy water solution.
• Dry well all the parts after washing.
Installation and Use
Before assembly: Ensure that the mains plug is not in the socket and that the switch (7+8) is turned
to the „OFF" position.
• Place the motor housing (4) on a smooth, flat and stable working surface.
• This working surface should be easy to clean, as there will be some splashes.
• Place the spiral (1) on the drive on the collecting pan.
• Place the cascades (2) over the spiral. The three bolts on the collecting pan are located in the
holes of the cascade.
• The assembled fountain must be in a horizontal position; place the device in this position if it is not
already.
Preparation
Wash and clean the fruit. Cut the fruit up into mouth-sized pieces.
Melting the Chocolate
• As the heating element in the device needs a long time to melt the chocolate, we recommend
liquefying the chocolate or chocolate coating beforehand. Take approximately 500g of chocolate
or 750g of chocolate coating. It may be necessary to adapt this quantity depending on the type of
chocolate.
• Melt the chocolate in an appropriate vessel on the cooker (in a water bath if necessary) or in the
microwave oven. Do not allow the chocolate to become too hot, as otherwise it will turn grey when
it cools down.
• You can also melt the chocolate in the collecting pan (3) once you have connected the device to
the electric power supply.
• Turn the rotary switch to HEAT and add the chocolate in small pieces. The collecting pan has a
volume of approximately 1 kg.
CAUTION:
The motor should only be switched on after the chocolate has completely melted.
Electrical Connection
• Unwind the mains lead completely.
• Ensure that both function switches are turned to „OFF".
• Insert the mains plug into a correctly installed 230 V, 50 Hz socket with earthing contact.
