1 Intended Use
The 4E50-2 Battery Charger is intended exclusively for charging the C-Leg and C-Leg compact
prosthesis systems from Ottobock.
2 Safety Instructions

Non-observance of safety instructions. Failure to follow the safety instructions mentioned
below can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the charger.

Penetration of dirt and humidity. Penetration of dirt and humidity can lead to faulty control or
malfunction of the charger. This makes impossible to ensure an appropriate charging function.
Do not let foreign particles or liquids get into the battery charger.
NOTICE
Mechanical overloading. Exterior mechanical impact or stress such as shocks and vibrations
can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the battery charger. This makes impossible to ensure
an appropriate charging function.
Do not expose the charger to mechanical vibrations or shocks.
Check the charger for any visible damage before every use.

Thermal overloading. Operating the battery charger at the temperature range below 0 °C
can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the charger. This makes impossible to ensure an
appropriate charging function.
Avoid the temperatures below 0 °C (see also Section "5 Recommendations").
