Tape Compatibility
Ditto Max drives will read and write as shown in the following table. We
recommend using only Ditto Max tapes.
Caution: TR-1, QIC-80 series, and QIC-40 series tapes are not compatible with
the Ditto Max drive. Use of these tapes will damage the read/write head and will
void the warranty.
Cleaning the Read/Write Head
After approximately every twenty-five hours of operation, Iomega
recommends that you clean the read/write head of the Ditto Max drive using
the Iomega Cleaning Cartridge. Simply place the cartridge in the OmniTray,
close the tray, and let the cleaning cartridge go to work.
Caution: No other maintenance procedures are authorized by Iomega.
Attempting to service the drive in any other way will void the warranty. NEVER
touch the read/write head or any other internal part of the drive with your
fingers. QIC-80 cleaning cartridges are NOT compatible with Ditto Max drives
and will damage the read/write head.
