MORDAZAS DE ALTA PRESION
your supplier before proceeding with disassembly. It is also possible that, due to the contaminating flow
of cutting fluid, the pneumatic cylinder will have to be cleaned every 1000 hours and the filters will have
to be replaced.
Disassembling the pneumatic cylinder for cleaning.
1. The previous section showed how to separate the pneumatic cylinder assembly from the rest of
the vise screw. Take this assembly, and now remove the stay bolt (215) from the cylinder head
(4611). Then, while holding the cylinder head in a vise, use a strap spanner to unscrew the rest
of the assembly. Keep in mind that the threads of this assembly are very fine and can be stripped.
2. Remove and replace the filters (411).

3. By introducing a rod through the hole of the gripped cover, push out the Pneuko piston. Now
proceed to clean the interior of the cylinder, and if necessary, change the Pneuko gasket. To
clean the interior of the cylinder without scratching it, use very fine sand paper smeared with oil
and rotate the piece.
4. When reassembling the assembly on the flange, thread it all the way to the end of the vise screw
(4609), and then install the stay bolt (202) in the hole located on the side of the flange. Given that
the vise screw hole is difficult to see from the outside, the head of the cylinder (4611) has a mark
that coincides with the position of the hole, which will help to insert the stay bolt in place.
Disassembling the reservoir assembly in order to replace the grease seals.
1. Start from the point where the nuts and the bushing (4610) have been removed from the assembly.
Start by taking out the stay bolt (215) and the nut (4035).
2. Then release the vise screw (4603).
3. Hold the assembly by the main vise screw (4609), remove the stay bolt (215) and unscrew the
reservoir (4604).
4. Push out the primary piston (4619) from the vise screw.
5. Push the piston plunger (4634) until it comes out of the reservoir, and remove the grease seals
(009 and 4604). Unscrew the grease seal cap (4037) from the piston plunger in order to replace
the seal (011).
Refilling with oil.
1. Install the seal (011) on the piston plunger, and then the cap (4037).
2. Introduce the seal (009), the washer (4065) and the seal (4606) in the reservoir.
3. Put the piston plunger in the reservoir.
4. Place the assembly horizontally in a vise, holding it by the piston, and introduce air under pressure
through the piston hole. The grease seals will thus be positioned in place. Use air to move the
reservoir at least 3 mm to provide an oil chamber.
5. Position the assembly vertically, and pour in oil to the top. Purge it with a rod to get the air out.
6. Put the primary piston (4619) in the seal (011).
7. Install the spring (4616).
8. Screw in the main vise screw (4619).
The jaw nuts move with difficulty.
The anchoring precision is poor.
The working piece raises up
excessively.
Loss of automatic return action.
Failures
The flange has become misaligned.
- The piece is too high.
- Elastic piece.
- The piece is not square.
- The piece is rough or has a burr.
Incorrect support.
- The pneumatic cylinder is
jammed.
Causes
Loosen the flange bolts and re-anchor, while at
the same time moving the jaws forward and back.
- Use the appropriate jaws.
- Use special jaws.
Use descending anchor jaws.
- Replace the cylinder filters.
- Clean the interior of the cylinder.
