VIDEO INDEX SEARCH SYSTEM
RECORDING AN INDEX MARK
The index search function
automatically records an INDEX
mark on the tape whenever a
recording is initiated.
DUPLICATING A VIDEO TAPE
If you connect the TV/VCR to another VCR or
Camcorder, you can duplicate a previously recorded
tape. Make all connections before turning on the power.

Insert a blank cassette with the erase prevention tab
intact into the TV/VCR.
Insert a previously recorded cassette into the play-
back VCR or Camcorder.

Press the INPUT SELECT button
to select AUDIO/VIDEO input
position. The "LINE" will appear
on the screen.

Press the REC/OTR button on the remote control of
the TV/VCR, then press the PAUSE/STILL button.

Press the PLAY button on the playback VCR, then
press the PAUSE/STILL button.

Simultaneously press the PAUSE/STILL buttons on
the TV/VCR and the playback VCR again to begin
the duplication process.
NOTES: • It is recommended that the tape speed be set
to the SP mode on the TV/VCR for best result.
• Unauthorized recording of copyrighted
television programs, films, video cassettes
and other materials may infringe the rights of
copyright owners and be contrary to copyright
laws.

Press the INDEX + or – button

during stop or play mode.
For succeeding programs: Press
the INDEX + button.
INDEX
For preceding programs: Press
the INDEX – button. (Additional
press increases the INDEX No.
up to 9.) When the INDEX + or –
button is pressed, the unit starts
searching the INDEX No. selected and finds the portion,
then playback starts automatically.
To stop the index search, press the STOP button.

CONNECTION TO CAMCORDER
For duplicating a previously recorded tape from a
camcorder, follow the camcorder manufacturer's instruc-
tions. A typical camcorder dubbing hookup is shown
below.
