Method 3: Thermal Rinse
• A Thermal Rinse** cycle as indicated in the Instrument Cycle cleaning table 3 (on the
previous page) may be added to the automated wash cycle.
Method 4: Autoclave
• With device cleaned and disassembled, wrap components in sterilized wrap according to the
manufacturers directions.
• Time and temperature parameters vary widely according to type sterilizer and packaging
material. Follow manufacturer's instruction for loading and operating the sterilizer autoclave.
• Make sure direct steam exposure to all surfaces is possible.
• Steam disinfect at 132° C to 135° C at high vacuum (2psia) for 3 minutes.
Once tray is removed from autoclave allow components to reach room temperature
before handling, storage or use.
