8) Pull 699B1 fibreglass roving through the holes in the anchor arms and
allow it to hang in a loop.
9) Cover anchor arms with carbon fibre mesh.
10) Place 1 layer of carbon fibre mesh medially and laterally up to the
condyles area.
11) Position 1 layer of carbon fibre mesh (approx. 8 cm wide) around the
socket below the patella.
12) Tie 1 double layer of Nylglas Stockinette off at the lamination anchor
and fold back.
13) Allow 1 layer of 616G13 Fibreglass Stockinette to overlap past the
lamination anchor arms.
14) Tie the fibreglass stockinette off at the lamination anchor and fold back.
15) Tie a double layer of Nylglas Stockinette off at the lamination anchor
and fold back.
16) Pull on soaked PVA bag and tie off proximally.
17) Perform the casting process using 617H19 Orthocryl® (80:20 mixture)
or C-Orthocryl® 617H55 lamination resin.
6 Maintenance/Repair
INFORMATION
The fundamental design of all Ottobock adapters allows for a possible
period of use of 3 to 5 years, depending on the patient's activity level.
In general, we recommend regular annual safety inspections.
The safety inspections must be performed by a prosthetist.
