STARTING AND STOPPING
SAW
Make sure that the switch is in the
"OFF" position before plugging cord into outlet. Do
nottouchthe plug'smetal p rongs whenunplugging
or plugging in the cord.
The "ON/OFF" switch is located on the front side of the
band saw. To turn the saw "ON", push the button (A) Fig.
21 in to the "ON" position. To turn the saw "OFF", push
the button (B) Fig. 22 in to the "OFF" position.

IN THE "OFF"
POSITION
IMPORTANT:
When the tool is not in use, the switch
should be locked in the "OFF" position to prevent un-
authorized use, using a padlock (C) Fig. 22 with a 3/16"
diameter shackle.
in the event of a power outage
(such
as a breaker or fuse trip}, always move the switch to
the "OFF" position
until the main power is restored.

OPENING
AND CLOSING
DOORS
When making adjustments
such as changing the blade,
tracking
the blade, blade guide adjustments,
etc., the
doors (B) Fig. 23 can be opened as follows:
_
.Never open the door when the machine
is running.
Pull out the two locking latches (A) Fig. 23, and swing
doors (B) open.

To close and fasten doors (B) Fig. 23, press on the
doors
directly over the latches (A) until the latches
snap into the locking position.
