Thebackrestmaynotreclinecorrectlywhenthecanopywithraincoverisinuse.

5.4.8 Fixation Vest

WARNING
Alwaysmakesurethatthefixationvesthasbeenproperlyapplied.Neverusethefixationvestwithout
fixationofthepatient'spelvisbymeansofasuitablepelvisfixationsystem.Otherwise,thepatientmight
slidedownwardsandinanextremecasestrangulatehim/herself.

Toattachthefixationveststraps,rivet(frominsidetooutside)thesixcam-lockbucklestothe
outsideofthebackbasis(Fig.58,itemA).Usecountersunkheadrivets.Threadtheshoulder
strapsofthefixationvestthroughtheopeningsinthebackpaddingtotherear.Thecenter"axil-
larystraps"mustbethreadedattheappropriateheightbetweenthebackframetubeandback
plate(Fig.58,itemB).
Threadthelowerstrapsbetweenseatandbacktotherear,throughtherollloop(Fig.50).Thread
allstrapsthroughtheopencam-lockbucklesandclampinpositionbyclosingthehingedcam.
Opening the fixation vest:
Openthehook&loopstrap(Fig.59,itemC)abovethezipper.Pullthezipperdownand,as
needed,openoneormorequick-releasebuckles(Fig.59,itemA)bypressingontheirendtabs.
Closing the fixation vest:
Positionthechildintheseat,closethezipper,holdthevestagainstthechild'schestandclose
theopenquick-releasebuckles.Ifrequired,re-tightentheindividualfixationveststrapsinthe
cam-lockbuckles.

5.4.9 Belts (Lap belt, Four-point belt, Foot straps)

Lap Belt:
Therearetwoclosureversionsformountingandlengthadjustment.
a)Lengthadjustmentwithhook&loopstraps:Openthehook&loopclosureofthelapbeltand
threadthestrapendsbetweenseatandbacktotherear,throughtherollloops(Fig.50).
Attachthetwoopenendsofthehook&loopstrapstoeachother.(Thisisusedtoadjustthe
lengthofthelapbelt–thestrapsmustoverlapbyatleast15cm.)
b)Lengthadjustmentonthebeltbuckle:Pullthestrapcompletelyoutofthelengthadjuster,
threadthestrapendbetweentheseatandbacktotherear,throughtherollloops(Fig.50),
andbackbetweenseatandbacktothefront.Next,threadthefreestrapendthroughthe
strappad,throughthelengthadjusteronthebeltbuckleandagainthroughthestrappad.
