8.1 Information on Re-use

orotherpersonswithintheproduct'slifecycle.
Basedonmarketobservationsandthecurrentstateoftechnology,themanufacturerhascalcu-
latedthattheproductcanbeusedforaperiodof4 years,providedthatitisusedproperlyand
thattheserviceandmaintenanceinstructionsareobserved.Periodsduringwhichthewheelchair
isstoredatthedealerorwiththethirdpartypayerarenotincludedinthisperiod.Itshouldbe
clearlypointedout,however,thattheproductisreliablefarbeyondthisdefinedperiodoftime,
providedthatitiscaredforandmaintainedappropriately.
Incasesofre-use,thecorrespondingproductmustfirstbethoroughlycleanedanddisinfected.
Subsequently,theproductmustbeexaminedbyanauthorizedspecialisttocheckthecondition,
wear,andpossibledamages.Anywornanddamagedcomponentsaswellascomponentswhich

accordancewiththeapplicableenvironmentalprotectionregulationsintherespectivecountry.
