YourKimbaCrosscanalsobeusedasabicycletrailer(Fig.29).The"bicyclepackage"includes:

• WeberCouplingpiece,typeE(bicycleside)
Firstremovethefrontwheel(Fig.30)inthereverseorderasdescribedunder"Unpackingand
SettingUp".
Insertthebicycledraw-barandpushittotherearandup.
Makesurethattheattachmentplateengageswiththeslotofthecrossbrace(Fig.31,itemA).
Closetheeccentricleveroftheclampaxle(Fig.31,itemB).
Checktheproperfitandclampingpressureoftheaxle!

4.3.1 Mounting the coupling to the bicycle

Coupling,typeEfromtheWebercompanyformountingtotheaxleofabicycle.
Besidesthecouplingthedeliveryincludestwometallockingdisksforbicyclehubswithrigidaxle
(largehole)orwithquick-releasemechanism(smallhole).
-Formounting,removethewheelnutorquick-releasemechanismandpositionthebasis 
(Fig.74,itemB)ontheaxleasshowninthedrawing.
Insertthelockingdisk(Fig.74,itemV)sothatthejointpiece(Fig.74,itemG)isapproximately
horizontal.
Makesurethattheteethofthelockingdiskproperlyengagewiththebasis.

Firmlytightenaxleandcouplingwiththewheelnutorquick-releasemechanism.Checkifthe
wheelisseatedsecurely.
Positionthesafetycable(Fig.74,itemS)aroundthewheelaxleandhanginasshowninthe
drawing.
Finallyinserttherubberstopple(Fig.74,itemA).
Ifthehubisequippedwithaquick-releasemechanismpleaseobservethefollowing:

Firsttightentheadjustmentnutofthequick-releasemechanismuntiltheleverofthequick-release
mechanismcanbeclosedfirmlyandthewheelisseatedsecurely.
Makesurethattheadjustmentnutofthequick-releasemechanismisscrewedontotheclamp
axlewithaminimumoffiveturnsandthatthethreadisundamaged!Followtheinstructionsgiven
intheoperationmanualforyourbicycleandforthequick-releasemechanism.

4.3.2 Connecting the trailer to the bicycle

Theinstructionsforconnectingthetrailertothebicyclearewrittenonastickerwhichisattached
toeachdraw-bar.Thetrailerdraw-barwilladditionallybesecuredtothebicycleframewitha
safetystrap(Fig.75).
