Standard IP Connection
This is the type of data connection where bandwidth is allocated dy-
namically by the BGAN network depending upon the network traffic
conditions. This type of connection is generally used for Web-brows-
ing, Emails, FTP and other non real-time packet data applications.
Streaming IP Connection
Streaming IP connections are used for real-time streaming applica-
tions such as audio streaming or video streaming applications such as
Quick Link, Quick Time Media, Real-Media, Stream-box, Win Media,
etc.
There are three different types of Streaming IP connections sup-
ported: 32kbps, 64kbps and 128kbps with symmetric bandwidth (same
bandwidth for uplink and downlink) and the allocated bandwidth are
guaranteed.
on time duration of the connection active time, regardless
So, it is recommended not to keep it connected when it is not in use.
Satlink FB250 supports at most 1 streaming connection of 128kbps,
2 streaming connections of 64kbps each or 4 streaming connections of
32kbps each or any other combinations which add up to a maximum of
128kbps.
Primary Profiles
Primary profiles define the connection type. You can select from a
list of profiles to be the default primary profile and connection type.
